About the Teachers

Rhonda V. Magee is a professor of law at the University of San Francisco. Also trained in sociology and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), she is a highly practiced facilitator of trauma-sensitive, restorative MBSR interventions for lawyers and law students, and for minimizing the effects of social-identity-based bias. Magee has been a visiting scholar at the Center for the Study of Law and Society and a visiting professor of law at the University of California, Berkeley.

Parneet Pal, MBBS, MS is a Harvard- and Columbia- trained physician on a mission to create a compassionate society where health is the default. She moved away from clinical practice to focus on chronic disease prevention. She provides lifestyle-as-medicine consulting to academic organizations, business and individuals. She also serves as Chief Science Officer at Wisdom Labs, Inc.

Marc Lesser is a speaker, facilitator, workshop leader, and executive coach. He is known for his engaging, experiential presentations that integrate mindfulness and emotional intelligence practices and training. Marc is the author of 4 books, including Seven Practices of a Mindful Leader: Lessons from Google and a Zen Monastery Kitchen, and CEO of ZBA Associates, an executive development and leadership consulting company. Tovi Scruggs-Hussein a visionary, healer, and award-winning urban educator with almost 30 years of courageous leadership and transformation experience. She is a recognized leader in emotional intelligence, equity and inclusion, meditation, and resilience.

Rich Fernandez is the CEO of Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute (SIYLI). He was previously the director of executive education and people development at Google, where he was also one of the first SIY teachers. Rich previously co-founded Wisdom Labs and has also served in senior roles at eBay, J.P. Morgan Chase and Bank of America.
