Welcome to MINDFUL JOURNALING: A SOOTHING EXPLORATION WITH AMY SPIES

I have found that meditating before writing can soften self-criticism and bring out one's authentic, creative voice. In addition, mindful journaling in any form: stream of consciousness, memoir, fiction, poetry, lyrics, letters, dialogue, even lists about gratitude, all of these can be beneficial to the mind, body, and heart.

This course offers both guided meditation practices, and also practical tips and soothing explorations into gratitude and its role within mindful journaling. Each of the six classes includes a lesson, a meditation, and within the videos and course journal are mindful journaling prompts to accompany a writing period, as well as post-journaling suggestions, and little writing nuggets of insight from my own life and journey.

My suggestion is to digest each class in the following sequence:

  • LESSON VIDEO
  • MEDITATION VIDEO (WHICH INCLUDES WRITING PROMPTS)
  • MINDFUL JOURNALING PERIOD
  • POST-JOURNALING EXPLORATION
