Judson Brewer MD PhD

Judson Brewer is a thought leader in the field of habit change and the science of self-mastery, having combined over 20 years of experience with mindfulness training with his scientific research therein. A professor and researcher at Brown University and MIT, he has developed clinically proven app-based training to help people with emotional eating (www.goeatrightnow.com) and anxiety (www.unwindinganxiety.com). Jessica Morey
Co-founder, executive director and lead teacher of Inward Bound Mindfulness Education

Jessica Morey is the co-founder, executive director and lead teacher of Inward Bound Mindfulness Education (iBme), a nonprofit that offers mindfulness training for teenagers, parents, and educators. Jessica began practicing meditation at age 14 at the Insight Meditation Society teen retreats, where she has continued to practice mindfulness and compassion meditation for a quarter century. Over the past ten years, Jessica has taught mindfulness to thousands of teenagers and led over 60 week-long meditation retreats for adolescents. Before founding iBme, Jessica worked in clean energy and climate policy and finance. Vinny Ferraro
Senior Trainer for Mindful Schools

Vinny Ferraro has been a practitioner of insight meditation since the early 1990s. He is a nationally recognized leader in designing and implementing interventions for at-risk adolescents. He is currently Senior Trainer for Mindful Schools. Vinny is also a board member and former Training Director of the Mind Body Awareness Project and is the principal author of MBA’s mindfulness-based curriculum for incarcerated youth. Rhonda V. Magee M.A., J.D
Professor of Law, UC, San Francisco, Mindfulness and Social Justice Teacher and Advocate

Rhonda is an internationally-recognized thought and practice leader on integrating Mindfulness into Higher Education, Law and Social Justice. A former President of the Board of the Center for Contemplative Mind in Society, Professor Magee is a Fellow of the Mind and Life Institute. She is a member of the Board of Advisors of the University of Massachusetts Center for Mindfulness and the Board of Directors for the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute. The author of numerous articles on mindfulness in legal education, Rhonda is the author of a forthcoming book on Mindfulness and Social Justice to be published by TarcherParigee, a member of the Penguin Random House Group.


Zindel Segal, PhD
Distinguished Professor of Psychology in Mood Disorders at the University of Toronto

Zindel has pioneered the use of mindfulness meditation for promoting wellness in the area of mood disorders and has been continuously funded by the National Institute of Mental Health and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research for the past 15 years. An author of over 10 books and 140 scientific publications, including The Mindful Way Through Depression – a patient guide for achieving mood balance in everyday life – Dr. Segal continues to advocate for the relevance of mindfulness-based clinical care in psychiatry and mental health.


Cara Bradley
Body-mind and flow expert, best-selling author, mindfulness coach

Cara is the best-selling author of On The Verge: Wake Up, Show Up, and Shine, a former pro skater for Rollerblade and the founder of Verge Body-Mind Center in Philadelphia. As a speaker and body-mind expert, Cara teaches executives and athletes how to live in flow using strategies integrating movement, breath, and mindfulness training to optimize wellbeing and performance. She works with organizations including Coca-Cola, World Bank Group, SAP and Goldman Sachs and college sports teams including the 2018 National Champion Villanova Men’s Basketball team. Cara also hosts a weekly podcast on body-mind training.


Ali Smith
Co-founder of the Holistic Life Foundation

Ali co-founded the Holistic Life Foundation in 2001, where he currently serves as Executive Director. He has over 15 years of experience teaching yoga and mindfulness to diverse populations. Through his work at the Holistic Life Foundation he has helped develop and pilot yoga and mindfulness programs at public and private schools, drug treatment centers, juvenile detention centers, mental crisis facilities, and retreat centers, nationally and internationally.


Atman Smith

Atman is a co-founder of the Holistic Life Foundation. He served as Director of Youth Programming for ten years, Director of Fundraising for five years, and currently serves as the Director of Development. Since 2001, he has been teaching yoga and mindfulness to a diverse population including underserved and high-risk youth in Baltimore City Public Schools, drug treatment centers, wellness centers, and colleges.


Andres Gonzalez

Andres is a co-founder of the Holistic Life Foundation. For sixteen years, Andres has taught yoga to diverse populations throughout the world, including Baltimore City Public School students, drug treatment centers, mental crisis facilities, homeless shelters, wellness centers, colleges, private schools and other various venues throughout the nation and throughout the world. He has partnered with John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Health and the Penn State’s Prevention Research Center on a Stress and Relaxation Study.
